Quiz Buzzer System using microcontroller

8 Push Button buzzers are used typically at places like academic establishments and game shows, wherever it’s needed for the organizers to understand WHO ironed the button initial. Standard systems need human intervention to choose that team has ironed the button and this method may be incorrect and even biased. I even have designed the circuit victimization 8051 microcontroller, which scans the input from push buttons and shows the corresponding variety on a display device. It’s an easy circuit with minimum variety of parts and sans any complexities. Although this method is meant for under for eight groups, a lot of groups may be value-added by victimization another set of eight push buttons. Another downside arises once 2 members ironed the button at a negligible interval and it’s troublesome to guess WHO has ironed the buzzer initial. Here during this project, I designed associate Automatic Quiz Buzzer System during which, once quite one team presses the buzzer, the delay between the 2 button presses is accurately taken into consideration and also the corresponding variety is displayed.

Principle of eight button Buzzers

The eight Channel Quiz Buzzer Circuit victimization Microcontroller may be a easy embedded system with a group of eight push buttons being the input devices, a microcontroller because the main controller and also the output devices being a buzzer and a show. The whole operation is meted out by a microcontroller through a program written in C language and drop within the microcontroller. Once one in every of the buttons is ironed, the buzzer starts ringing and also the corresponding variety are showed on the seven section display.

The main part of this project is Microcontroller. It consists of 40 pins. The right side of microcontroller pins   21 to 28 are attached with 7 Segment Display pins. Pin 10 is connected with some components like resistor, NPN Transistor, and 5v Buzzer. Pin 13 is connected with push button. Pin 17 is attached with resistor and NPN transistor. On the left side of Microcontroller pins 1 to 8 are connected with 8 Push buttons. Upper side pins 18, 19 are connected with capacitors and RST pin.

Working of Quiz Buzzer System using microcontroller

Once the circuit is supercharged, the compiler can initialize the stack pointer and also the variables having the non-zero initial values and perform alternative formatting method then calls the most operate. It then checks if any of the buttons is ironed. In alternative words the microcontroller scans for any of its input pins at port P1 to be zero or at logic low level. Just in case a button is ironed, the show operate is named by passing the corresponding variety. The microcontroller then sends the relevant signals to the port connected to the seven section show. The microcontroller can activate the buzzer for a second and turns it off however the quantity are unendingly showed on the seven section display till the RST button is ironed.

Applications of Quiz Buzzer System using microcontroller

  1. This circuits may be used at quiz competitions organized at colleges, schools.
  2. It may be conjointly used for alternative games shows.
  3. It may be used as at public places like banks, restaurants as a digital token show system.

Guys this is not it. I promise you will get these informative lessons in future. Till then take care and have fun.
