Components which we use in this project are listed below:

  1. Transformer (220V – 12V)
  2. Diode (IN4007)
  3. Capacitor (100uf 16V)
  4. Regulator (7805)
  5. Volt meter (DC)
  6. Connecting wire (As req…)

Construction of half wave power supply circuit using 7805 regulator in proteus:

Connect one side of transformer with diod (IN 4007) on Anode terminal.

Connect the other side of transformer with diod (IN 4007) on cathode terminal.

Connect +ve side of capacitor (100uf) with the cathode of D1.

Connect –ve side of capacitor with the Anode of D2.

Connect V1 of 7805 with cathode of D1.

Connect GND point of 7805 to Anode of D2.

Connect GND point to V0 through capacitor (100uf).

Connect –ve side of capacitor with GND and +ve side of capacitor with V0.

Connect DC volt meter and capacitor across V0 and GND point.

Working of half wave power supply circuit using 7805 regulator in proteus:

After connecting all the components according to given construction, Provide 220V ac to primary side of transformer. Then transformer will provide 12V ac which converted into ripple DC (half wave) transformer.

After passing through the capacitor the signal become smooth.
