Components which we use in this project are listed below:

  1. Touch electrode
  2. Lamp
  3. Resistor 22 mega Ω
  4. Amplifier MPF102,ETC
  5. R 47K
  6. R 100K
  7. Capacitor 2N3565
  8. Capacitor 22uF
  9. R 2.2K
  10. Capacitor TIP31

Construction of Touch switch operates through touch electrode:

  • Connect the +ve point of touch electrode with the one side of resistor 22 mega Ω
  • Connect the –ve side of touch electrode with GND
  • Connect the other side of resistor 22 mega Ω with the –ve side of touch electrode
  • Connect the +ve point of touch electrode with the base point of amplifier
  • Connect the ammeter point of amplifier with the GND point of touch electrode
  • Connect the collector point of amplifier with one side of resistor 47K
  • Connect the other side of resistor 47K with the one side of resistor 100K
  • Connect the other side of resistor 100K with the collector side of transistor 2N3565
  • Connect the base point of transistor 2N3565 with the collector point of amplifier
  • Connect the ammeter point of transistor with the GND wire of touch electrode
  • Connect the collector point of 2N3565 with the +ve side of the capacitor 22uF
  • Connect the –ve side of capacitor with the GND wire of touch electrode
  • Connect the +ve side of capacitor with the one side of other resistor 100K
  • Connect the other side of this R100K with the positive side of another 22uF capacitor
  • Connect this capacitor’s –ve point also with the GND wire of touch electrode
  • Connect the +ve side of 22uF with the base point of another 2N3565
  • Connect the one side of R100k with R2.2k through collector point of 2N3565 and one side of another R2.2k
  • Connect the ammeter point of 2N3565 with the GND wire of touch electrode
  • Connect the other side of R2.2K with the base point of transistor TIP31 through the one side of another R2.2K
  • Connect the ammeter point and the other side of R2.2K with the GND wire of touch electrode
  • Connect the collector point of TIP31 with the one side of lamp
  • Connect the remaining point of R100K and 2.2K with the other side of lamp and then connect this side of lamp with 12V battery

  Working of Touch switch operates through touch electrode:

A touch switch that operates through a touch electrode is often referred to as a capacitive touch switch. These switches work based on the principle of capacitive sensing, which relies on the electrical capacitance between the touch electrode and a person’s finger (or any conductive object)
