Components which we use in this project are listed below:

  1. IC (L4970)
  2. Battery 35V
  3. Capacitors (100uf, 680uf, 22nf, 390pf, 220nf, 10nf, 0.47nf, 1uf, 2.2nf, 100uf)
  4. Resistors (26k, 20k, 100k, 4.7k,)
  5. Diod (12TQD45)
  6. Inductor (40uH)
  7. Jumper wires

Construction of L4970 Switching 10A power supply in proteus simulation

  • Connect the one side of battery with the pin VI of L4970 trough the +ve side of capacitor 100uf and one side of resistor 20k
  • Connect the pin 3 of the IC with the 2nd side of resistor
  • Connect 10k resistor at the junction of pin 3 and resistor 20k
  • Connect other side of resistor 10k with the GND
  • Connect pin 1 of IC with the one side of resistor 26k
  • Connect the other side of 26k with the GND through one side of capacitor 2.2nF
  • Connect the 2nd side of 2.2nF with pin 2 of the IC
  • Connect 2nd side of 100uF with GND
  • Connect 0.01uF capacitor with PIN 5 of IC
  • Connect the 2nd side of 0.01uF with GND
  • Connect 1uf with pin 14 of IC
  • Connect 2nd side of 1uF with GND
  • Connect 0.47uF with pin 12 of IC
  • Connect the 2nd side of 0.47uF with GND
  • Connect 10nF with the pin 15 of IC
  • Connect the 2nd side of 10nF with the GND
  • Connect pin 8 of the IC with the GND
  • Connect pin 4 of IC with the one side of 4.7k
  • Connect the 2nd side of 4.7k with the resistor 1R through the one side of Inductor 40uH and resistor 0.01, 4.7k
  • Connect the 2nd side of resistor 1R with the GND
  • Connect the 2nd side of 4.7k with the one side of another 4.7k
  • Then connect 2nd side of 2nd7k with the GND
  • Connect 2nd side of 0.01R with the +ve side of capacitor 680uF
  • Connect –ve side of 680uF with the GND
  • Connect pin 11 of IC with the junction of both resistors (4.7k)
  • Connect 2nd side of Inductor with pin 7 of IC through –ve side of diod and capacitor 220nF
  • Connect 2nd side of 220nF with the pin 6 of IC
  • Connect 2nd side of diod with GND
  • Connect one side of 1nF capacitor with the junction of diod and Inductor
  • Connect 22k resistor at the 2nd side of 1nF
  • Then connect 2nd side of 22k with the GND
  • Connect pin 10 of IC with the one side of both capacitors (22nF, 390pF)
  • Connect 2nd side of 22nF with the one side of 15k and then connect 2nd side of 15k with GND
  • Connect 2nd side of 390pF with GND
