In this article we will learn how to make Raspberry Pi interfacing with Analog to digital converter and LDR Project.

In the last post we will learn how to make Raspberry Pi interfacing with GPs module project. You can visit our website,
I hope you appreciate my work, let’s discuss about today’s project.

Components:

  1. Raspberry Pi (Pi3)
  2. Analog to Digital converter (ADS1015)
  3. Volt meter
  4. Lamp
  5. LDR
  6. Resistor (1k, 330)
  7. Jumper wires

Construction…

  • Connect one side of Resistor 1k with SDA pin of Raspberry Pi
  • Connect one side of Resistor 1k with SCL pin of Raspberry Pi
  • Connect 2nd side of both Resistors with +ve
  • Connect pin 10 of ADS1015 converter with GPIO3 pin of Raspberry pi
  • Connect pin 9 of ADS1015 with GPIO2 pin of Raspberry Pi
  • Connect pin 1 and 3 of ADS1015 with GND
  • Connect one side of resistor 330 with –ve side of Volt meter and then connect them with GND
  • Connect 2nd side of resistor 330 with one side of Lamp through +ve side of Volt meter
  • Connect 2nd side of Lamp with +ve
  • Connect D0 pin of ADS1015 at the junction of resistor and lamp

Working…

Raspberry Pi is a versatile single-board computer that can be used for a wide range of applications. While the Raspberry Pi itself does not have built-in analog-to-digital converter (ADC) capabilities, you can interface it with external ADCs to enable analog sensor readings and other analog input processing.

Applications…

  1. Sensor Data Acquisition
  2. Environmental Monitoring
  3. Home Automation
  4. IoT Projects
  5. Industrial Automation

Advantages…

  1. Analog Signal Processing
  2. Sensor Compatibility
  3. Increased Resolution
  4. Lower Noise Levels
  5. Specialized Features
