What is TL494?
TL494 is a pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller chip commonly used in inverter and switched-mode power supply (SMPS) circuits. It’s responsible for generating control signals to regulate the switching of power transistors.
For an inverter application, the TL494 manages the generation of high-frequency pulses that drive the power transistors, converting DC power into AC. In an SMPS, it controls the voltage regulation by adjusting the duty cycle of the output waveform.
